Submission Checklist

The new electronic distribution method requires that the format of new results be more exact. When a new result is submitted, please make certain that it conforms to the following guidelines.  Results filing fees apply at the rate of $1250 per result for TPC members and $2500 per result for non-members.

Please print out this page and use it as a checklist.

1. Creating and Submitting the Executive Summary
  • Dimensions are correct (10" x 7.25").
  • Executive summary style guides in specifications have been followed.
  • Price/performance = total-price/ throughput.
  • Dates are correctly formatted (dd-mon-yyyy).
  • Report date is correct.
  • Include the following TPC pricing statement in a Times New Roman 9 pt type.  This wording must be included at the bottom of the pricing page of every TPC Executive Summary.

"Prices used in TPC benchmarks reflect the actual prices a customer would pay for a one-time purchase of the stated components. Individually negotiated discounts are not permitted. Special prices based on assumptions about past or future purchases are not permitted. All discounts reflect standard pricing policies for the listed components. For complete details, see the pricing sections of the TPC benchmark specifications.

If you find that the stated prices are not available according to these terms, please inform the TPC at pricing@tpc.org. Thank you."

  • System description includes "c/s" for client server configurations.
  • Produce an Adobe Acrobat PDF version of the Executive Summary. The PDF file or files should be left on the TPC drop site (ftp.tpc.org).
  • Verify that the files are not corrupted. After putting the files on the drop site, download them and print them.

2. Creating and Submitting the Full Disclosure Report
  • Verify that the report contains all required information, including third party price quotes, auditor's attestation letter, and configuration files and source code. These should all be enclosed in the one FDR document.
  • Produce an Adobe Acrobat PDF version of the full disclosure report. The file size must be under 10 MB. (Note: If a test sponsor has difficulty staying under this size limitation, contact the TPC Administrator for assistance in fulfilling this requirement. The pdf file should be left on the TPC drop site (ftp.tpc.org).
  • Verify that the files are not corrupted. After putting the files on the drop site, download them and print them.
  • Deliver the electronic copy of the FDR to the TPC's office the same day as submittal.

3. "TPC Summary Alert" Email About Your Result
Before the result is released to the public, you must send a TPC Summary Alert email to the membership. Create a TPC Summary Alert email with following details for each result:
  • Test sponsors must attach an Adobe Acrobat pdf file of their Executive Summary to the alert. The maximum allowable size of the pdf file is 500 KB.
  • For those of you unfamiliar with Adobe Acrobat, you can go to Adobe to find out more information and to order the product. Once you have installed Acrobat on your system, you can do a "SAVE AS" and save just about any file as an Adobe Acrobat pdf file. Saving it to pdf also shrinks the file size considerably, and therefore you shouldn't have any problem delivering Executive Summary pdf files under 500 KB.
